Paraffin Bath

A paraffin bath is commonly used in the treatment of traumatized, inflamed areas of the body, particularly the hands, feet, and wrists.

It is primarily used in the treatment of patients with Osteo or even Rheumatoid Arthritis.
The body part is immersed in preheated liquid paraffin wax. The body part is then withdrawn and the wax allowed solidifying into an insulating layer. This process is repeated several times. The wax is removed following 15-20 minutes.
