Sarina Ferguson, PT, DPT, CEO
Sarina graduated from Sacramento State University in 2004 with a BS in Kinesiology, Therapeutic Exercise and Rehabilitation, with a minor in Psychology. She completed her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2006, also at Sacramento State University. In 2015, Sarina chose to return to school, and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University. She is a certified LSVT BIG practitioner for Parkinson’s treatment. She also has training in the Graston Technique, Strain Counter-Strain, and custom foot-orthotic casting and fitting. She has a special interest in athletes of all ages, as well as geriatrics. Sarina often incorporates manual therapy, instrument assisted myofascial release, Pilates, proprioception / balance training, and kinseotape strategies in her rehabilitation process.
Prior to being a Physical Therapist, Sarina was a competitive gymnast for Sacramento State University’s NCAA Division 1 Women’s Gymnastics Team as an undergrad. Keeping with her Santa Rosa roots, she volunteers her time with her pre-college gymnastics club in Santa Rosa as a consult; helping prevent injury and return injured gymnasts to competition safely.
In her free-time, Sarina enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, and hiking with her family.

Robin Samay, MS, PT
Robin graduated with a BS in Physiology from UC Davis in 1984 and a MS in Physical therapy in 1988 from the University of the Pacific.
Robin joined OSPT in 1990. Robin specializes in spinal and joint mobilization, therapeutic exercise, McConnell taping, muscle energy technique, pelvic and LE rehab, shoulder and knee rehab, trunk stabilization programs, and osteoporosis treatment. Robin holds a Pilates Mat Certification.
Robin enjoys sharing time with her husband and two sons while hiking, boating, wakeboarding and gardening.

Peter graduated from Merced College with an Associates of Arts degree. He acquired his Physical Therapy Assistant license in 1998 and has worked in a variety of acute and outpatient care settings since then. He has extensive acute and outpatient care experience with all phases of care. Myofascial and trigger point release training for pain relief has been a primary focus of his outpatient care treatments, incorporating strength and flexibility activities for a return to normal life.

Ana has been with OSPT since 2012. Day-to-day, you will find Ana tending to the office operations. She has had experience in many different administrative capacities. Ana enjoys interacting with patients and is a constant source of help and support. She loves seeing patients become pain-free and more mobile with the help of our Physical Therapists. Outside the clinic Ana enjoys spending time outdoors, camping and hiking with her husband and two boys.

Amairani is originally from Marin County and moved to Sonoma County. She joined OSPT in 2017, bringing a strong blend of customer service and organizational skills to the office. She started off as a front desk receptionist at our Oakmont clinic and is now our Billing Coordinator for both offices. Amairani loves to ensure that our patients are scheduled accurately and that all billing is processed correctly. If patients have any questions regarding insurance benefits or out of pocket expenses, she is your go to gal.
In her free time, she loves to explore hiking trails near the coast or in the mountains, attend live music, reading, traveling and playing with her cat Miso.

Christine grew up in the East Bay and surrounding Bay Area cities. Christine has a background in the medical field office work, mostly in the dental industry. In her free time, she enjoys exploring San Francisco and trying out different restaurants. Christine will be a welcoming face to help you with all your scheduling needs.

Robert Leavitt, PT, MPT, OCS, JSCC
Robert “Rob” graduated from UC Davis in 1993 with a degree in Physical Education and completed his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s College in 1995.
Before he committed to physical therapy, Rob proudly served in the USMC.
In a career long effort to further his knowledge and optimize his skill as a physical therapist, Rob has achieved many specialty certifications. In 2006 and again in 2016, Rob became an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, certified by the American Physical Therapy Association as having developed a greater depth of knowledge and skill related to the practice of orthopedic physical therapy.
He is also a certified clinical instructor, committed to furthering the knowledge and skill of physical therapy students. Rob was awarded a certification in LSVT BIG, an exercise regimen to address the neuromuscular and orthopedic deficits associated with Parkinson’s Disease.
In 2004 Rob became Jones Strain and Counterstrain Certified but continues to pursue mastery in Strain Counterstrain and Fascial Counterstrain, an improved version of the original technique. Strain Counterstrain and Fascial Counterstrain are each innovative techniques for treating pain and dysfunction in the entire body. Rob has over 25 years’ worth of clinical and practical experience in the study and application of a wide variety of Orthopedic and Sports related physical therapy.

Christopher Strunk, PT, OCS
Christopher is a California native, born and raised in Santa Clara before graduating in 1994 with a B.S. in physical therapy from California State University, Long Beach. He gained experience in outpatient and inpatient rehab settings, working on the peninsula at Mills Health Center and Peninsula Hospital, before settling with his growing family in Santa Rosa in 2004. With over 25 years of experience, he incorporates both manual and therapeutic exercise techniques to improve patient outcomes. Christopher fosters growth, understanding, and self-reliance with a holistic approach. He has a special interest in the geriatric population, shoulder rehab, acute ankle injuries, golf, and running. He became an APTA-certified Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) in 2007 and is a curious lifelong learner.
Christopher is a local sports fan and stays active with trail running, golf, basketball, and snowboarding. Spending time with his children and exploring is a passion, and getting away to Tahoe is a favorite. He also likes comedy, art, writing, film, and live music. Witnessing someone realize their full potential and make themselves proud is what he finds most rewarding. Chris values curiosity, kindness, being a part of something bigger than himself, trying to get a little better, and, ultimately, having fun!

Julie graduated from Mesa Community College PTA school in San Diego, CA in 1989. Her professional background includes orthopedic physical therapy, chronic pain management, aquatic exercise instruction, and therapeutic massage. She specializes in therapeutic exercise, manual techniques and balance training.
Julie joined OSPT in 2014. She brings high enthusiasm for helping our clients achieve their best fitness possible, as well as for empowering them to continue living healthy lifestyles.
